68 Material Sintered Ferrite Powder
Fair-Rite now offers a selection of ferrite materials in sintered ferrite powder form–made from the same base material as our solid ferrite components. Sintered Ferrite Powder will not match the performance characteristics of solid ferrite components but may be useful for a variety
of experimental and production applications.
Most ferrite components are pressed before firing; this pressure allows them to form continuous crystalline structures during firing. Since our sintered ferrite powder products are not pressed, they do not form continuous crystalline structures. Instead, there is free space between each particle. The net result is that the normal properties associated with a pressed component–permeability, temperature response, and saturation–will be muted in sintered ferrite powder of the same material. This makes sintered ferrite powder well-suited for use in areas where air would already exist.

Our highest frequency NiZn ferrite intended for broadband transformers, antennas and Hi Q inductor applications up to 150 MHz. Excellent stability characteristics.
Strong magnetic fields or excessive mechanical stresses may result in irreversible changes in permeability or losses.
